ernestas kau�ylas aka brokenchord is a music producer and composer born and raised in utena, a small industrial town in lithuania. kau�ylas was quickly picked up by black acre, releasing both a 7inch single and an ep, after an exclusive mix of his was aired on bbc radio one�s experimental showhosted mary anne hobbs in 2010.
endless transmissions is the brainchild of kau�ylas who single handily (bar two tracks) wrote and performed the entire album. the only collaboration was with jazz drummer, augustas baronas , who he encouraged to play as mechanically as possible. the lp pays homage to creativity and the ability topush the limits of technology with the physicalness of a human body. kau�ylas explains �machines that mimic human grooves is boring but the other way around it becomes quiet interesting�.

let s face it, summer in new york city is sweltering. even with all the windows open and fans on high, it is hard to find refuge in alliance upholstery s chinatown offices. today s sweat though, is due to the -dancer on the shore- ep, the latest release by the brooklyn based band, lemonade (cascine/true panther sounds). -dancer- is a subdued summertime collage of steel drums, buoyant electronic pads and windswept vocals. joined by dee dee from dum dum girls, it is a celebration of the space where humans and nature exist in harmony. originally released digitally as a single on cascine in 2015, the band created a dj friendly extended mix for this release. if you have been to the -air a dancer- party over the last few seasons, you have likely already heard it (sometimes twice in one night!).

mancini and the creepers is a much needed breath of fresh air that really turned my week around from being horrendous to unreal! with the ridiculous vocal stylings of mancini throwing down some truly unorthodox rhythm, along with the unreal british-accented lyrics, this crew is pure entertainment in my mind. the rapping is done over the production crew, consisting of tommy tempa and frank law�s, beats and is put together in a great package.
